Working with Vaughan

Hi, I’m Vaughan Titheridge – Registered Drama Therapist based in South London.

Welcome – I’m Glad You’re Here

I’m a fully qualified Dramatherapist with a deep commitment to supporting individuals of all ages as they navigate emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply seeking a deeper connection with yourself, I offer a safe, creative, and compassionate space to explore what matters to you.

Creative, Compassionate Therapy

I hold an MA in Drama Therapy and a Diploma in Creative Approaches to Supervision. My therapeutic approach is grounded in creativity—using techniques such as role-play, improvisation, movement, art, and storytelling to help you express what may be difficult to put into words.

These expressive methods can unlock insight, ease emotional pain, and strengthen resilience. They’re especially helpful for those who struggle to open up through traditional talking therapies alone.

Every session is shaped around you. I work at your pace, respecting your individual needs and readiness for change. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, identity questions, or life transitions, my aim is to walk alongside you with warmth and acceptance.

Who I Work With

I offer therapy for:

  • Adults, young people, and children
  • Individuals, couples, families, and small groups
  • Short-term or long-term support, depending on your needs

I’ve worked extensively across the NHS, education, charity, and private sectors, providing care in schools, therapeutic communities, and mental health services. My clinical experience includes working with complex needs, diversity, gender exploration, and a wide range of psychological issues.

In addition to private practice, I collaborate with organisations such as Gendered Intelligence, where I support individuals exploring gender identity and emotional wellbeing through dramatherapy.

Professional Supervision

As a qualified supervisor, I also offer individual and group supervision for therapists, counsellors, social workers, and educators. I currently provide supervision for students training at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education, and facilitate supervision groups for the charity One in Four.

My supervision approach is collaborative, creative, and reflective—tailored to help you grow in confidence, clarity, and professional integrity. I also offer reflective practice within schools and social care settings, supporting staff wellbeing and team development.

Getting Started

Taking the first step can feel daunting. You’re warmly invited to get in touch via phone or email with any questions or to arrange an initial meeting.

The first session is an opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy, and to consider how we might work together. We’ll also cover practicalities such as fees (£60 per session, with some concessions available), scheduling, and what to expect.

Sessions are usually 50 minutes long and may include talking, creative techniques, or a combination of both—depending on what feels right for you.

Areas of Expertise

I have particular experience in supporting individuals dealing with:

  • Low self-esteem
  • Gender and sexuality
  • Emotional, physical, and sexual abuse
  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress
  • Relationship issues
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Alcohol misuse
  • Other mental health difficulties

If you’re seeking a therapeutic experience that honours your individuality and embraces creativity, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
